Eccrine sweat glands are most prominent in the extremities of the body such as hands, feet, forehead, palms and armpits. There are about 2-4 million sweat glands in the body. In normal conditions, sweating can be due to a rise in temperature, fever, exercise or emotional distress. But in certain people, the nerves overreact causing excessive sweating. When it involves the palms and feet the condition is known as Palmoplantar hyperhidrosis or primary hyperhidrosis. The condition of excessive sweating on hands and feet may be the cause of several underlying factors such as hormonal imbalance, heart disease, lung disease, hyperthyroidism, obesity, menopause, infectious disease or diabetes. 1 Apple cider vinegar

The health benefits of apple cider vinegar are well known to treat several conditions including sweaty palms. ACV acts as an astringent which tightens pores and prevents excessive sweating. With a cotton swab, apply a mixture of apple cider vinegar and rosewater. Leave on overnight and wash it off the next morning. Alternately you can also consume a mixture of 1 to 2 teaspoons of ACV and a teaspoon of honey mixed with some water. Do not take ACV raw as it could be harsh on your throat. Apple cider vinegar also helps the body’s metabolism to combat obesity one of the reasons for excessive sweating.
