1 Fennel seeds
Regular consumption of fennel seeds while breastfeeding increases milk production and also helps improve digestion, since most women suffer from constipation after delivery. It also helps in improving the baby’s digestion process.
You can either eat them raw or you can brew a fennel tea. You can also soak them in 1 cup of water overnight and drink it early in the morning. You can also add fennel seeds in a pan of water and boil; let it cool down and store in a bottle. Drink the concoction and make sure to consume all of it by the end of the day.
2 Cumin seeds
This wonderful spice provides many benefits; it helps in digestion, controls blood pressure, helps prevent anaemia, relieves cold and asthma, etc. Another benefit is that it helps in breast milk production.
Cumin seeds can be consumed every day while breastfeeding. You can simply mix cumin with jaggery or you can add them in vegetables and pulses. You can also soak them in 1 cup of water and drink in the morning.
3 Dry fruits
Dry fruits like almonds, walnuts, cashews, figs, dates, dry dates, apricots, raisins, and many more can be taken while breastfeeding your child. Dry fruits are considered very healthy for our body and provide many health benefits. Among these are improving hemoglobin levels, promoting blood circulation, and controlling cholesterol and blood sugar.
You can roast a few, in oil, or you can chew a handful of them. You can also add them to your favourite dishes.
4 Fenugreek seeds
The nursing mothers are encouraged to consume fenugreek seeds while breastfeeding. The spice contains diosgenin which helps in increasing milk production. There are many other health benefits of fenugreek; for example, it regulates blood sugar levels. It also helps in digestion and weight loss, induces childbirth, and helps in reducing labour pain.
You can soak them in 1 cup of water overnight and drink it early in the morning. You can also put fenugreek seeds into a little water and boil for a few minutes. Drink the concoction when it gets warm.
5 Sesame seeds
It is very important for nursing mothers to consume sesame seeds as it does not only helps in milk production but also strengthens the bones of children. 7 Green vegetables

8 Carom seeds
Carom seeds help in solving digestion problems and flushes out toxins from the stomach. Mix fennel and carom seeds with water and boil for some time. Drink this mixture while warm. It helps in increasing milk supply and also improves the digestion of your baby.
